Individual was on supervised probation for five years due to felony DWI conviction in Fairfax County.  After speaking with probation and filing a motion with the court, her probationary period was terminated two years early.

Individual on probation for federal sex-related offense in the Eastern District of Virginia.  After completing over 50 percent of his probation, the sentencing judge granted the early termination request without a hearing.

Successful Restoration of Driving Rights After Involuntary Manslaughter Conviction

Individual convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Fairfax County.  After numerous hearings before the court and meetings with DMV officials, individual’s license was restored after being revoked for 8 years.

Terms of Probation Successfully Modified

Individual convicted of serious felony sex offense was given probation that precluded use of internet, social media, and similar applications.  Furthermore, probation insisted that individual be placed in a particular type of counseling, which individual opposed.  Motions were filed to address both issues, and the judge granted both of the defense motions.  Individual was allowed to remain in his existing treatment and have some access to the internet and social media.

Driving Rights Restored After Indefinite Revocation

Individual had been disqualified from driving due to multiple DWI convictions and being declared a habitual offender (a law that is no longer in effect).  After petitioning the court for restoration of her driving privileges, the court granted the request and authorized a restricted operator’s license for the first time in many years.

Protective Order Request Denied

Individual was facing imposition of a two-year protective order in the City of Alexandria, which also would have led individual to lose employment because of position in law enforcement.  The petitioner’s dishonesty before the court during trial ultimately led to dismissal of protective order request.
