City of Alexandria Courts

The courts for the city of Alexandria comprise circuit court, general district court, juvenile court, and domestic relations court. Each of these courts is housed on different floors of the same building in downtown Alexandria. The Alexandria courts are located at:

Arlington County Courts

Similar to the city of Alexandria, Arlington County courts hear matters in circuit court, general district court, juvenile court, and domestic relations court. They can also be found in the same building, located at:

County jail is also housed at this location, which is easily accessible by both car and public transportation.

 

City of Fairfax Courts

The City of Fairfax operates its own general district court to handle legal matters that occur within the city. The city’s circuit court and general district court are located approximately two blocks away from each other in downtown Fairfax. The courts can be found at:

Fairfax County Courts

The Fairfax County courthouse is in the heart of Fairfax City, one block southwest of the corner of Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Main Street (Route 236). Parking is available in a multi-level parking garage, which is immediately adjacent to the courthouse.

Falls Church Courts

The city of Falls Church has a municipal complex to handle legal matters for the general district court, juvenile court, and domestic relations court. Arlington County Circuit Court has jurisdiction over Falls Church. The local general district, juvenile, and domestic relations courts can be found at:

Federal Court - E.D.V.A.

United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is located in Alexandria and encompasses much of northern Virginia. This court hears federal criminal and civil matters. Federal court does have its own unique set of rules and codes, so it's important to read more about the court and courthouse before your court date. This federal court is located at the Albert V. Bryan Courthouse, found at:

Loudon County Courthouse

Loudon County operates its own court system, similar to Arlington County. Again, the county manages a circuit court, general district court, juvenile court, and domestic relations court. The Loudon County courthouse houses all these courts at the same location in Leesburg, which can be found at:

Prince William County Courthouse

Prince William County courts are located in Manassas. The judicial center houses circuit court, general district court, juvenile court, and domestic relations court. In Prince William, general district court officials will hear matters related to traffic, civil, and criminal issues, in addition to preliminary hearings for felony charges.
