Greenspun Shapiro - Melinda L. Vanlowe - Attorney

Melinda L. VanLowe received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from the University of Virginia. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree from American University, Washington College of Law. After graduating from law school, Melinda served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dennis J. Smith, now Chief Judge of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. During the 2004-2005 school year, Melinda taught legal writing as an Adjunct Professor at the George Mason University School of Law.

As an attorney with Greenspun Shapiro, P.C., Melinda has focused her practice on criminal defense, domestic relations and general civil litigation.  She has litigated bench and jury trials in both federal and state courts regarding charges ranging from reckless driving and driving while intoxicated to drug conspiracy and immigration fraud charges.  Melinda’s civil practice includes representation of clients litigating claims of abuse and neglect and claims regarding the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry
