James S. Abrenio received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Government from the University of Virginia, and his Juris Doctor from the Syracuse University College of Law. While at Syracuse, James co-founded the Criminal Law Society, served as Student Representative for the S.U. Alumni Association, and was elected to the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Team. James was also a semi-finalist in the Mackenzie Hughes, L.L.P. & Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition.
During James’ last year of law school, he held a visiting position at the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. In conjunction with University of Richmond’s legal clinic, James served as Student Prosecutor for the Chesterfield County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. There, he authored appellate briefs submitted to Virginia Court of Appeals and conducted motions, hearings, and trials in the general district and circuit courts. James also interned for the Circuit Court of Arlington County.
James is also involved in community service. As an undergraduate, James tutored youth at Buford Middle School in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also served as a Surgical Supply Assistant at the University of Virginia Medical School. James is currently volunteering for the Habitat for Humanity.
