Our clients was charged with indecent exposure after officers were called to respond to a report of an undressed man standing outside his home.  The officers arrested our client and charged him with the Class 1 misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.  At trial, the prosecution failed to introduce evidence that the defendant had any sexual intent behind the exposure.  Rather, the evidence at trial showed that he was arguing with his girlfriend and then chased after her outside the home when she left while he was changing his clothes.  Our attorneys successfully argued that, although there was evidence of public exposure, there was no evidence of an “indecent” intent behind it.  After some deliberation, the court returned a verdict of “not guilty.”
